Sawyer Blankenship

Sawyer Blankenship is a true multi-instrumentalist and one of the most versatile performers on the Cumberland Mountain Music Show stage. Hailing from Union County, Tennessee, Sawyer is known for his ability to seemingly play just about anything with strings on it — and sing any part to go along with it. Whether he’s playing fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, or steel guitar, Sawyer brings authenticity, musicianship, and a deep understanding of traditional music to every performance. In addition to performing, Sawyer is also the owner of The Music Mercantile, a well-known gathering place for musicians and music lovers throughout the region. His passion for preserving and supporting Appalachian music culture extends far beyond the stage, helping connect musicians and keep traditional music thriving in East Tennessee. Sawyer’s musical talent is matched by his strong harmony singing and smooth lead vocals, making him an important part of the sound of the Cumberland Mountain Music Show Band. When he’s not performing or working around music, Sawyer enjoys spending time with his wife, Telisa, and their son, Gibson.
